Craft Club Class

Envelopes, Boxes & Vinyl

Class Content:

ENVELOPES: Learn how to create custom envelopes using your machine and Canvas or other design software. We will also help you create a custom card base including a foolproof way of making sure your card base folds correctly.

BOXES: You will create a custom gift box to fit your decorated item or gift.

VINYL: You will apply a vinyl design to a glass object or your own blank item. The designs will be made of 2 or more colours and you will learn how to use transfer sheets to build your design, how to weed vinyl and how to cut your design successfully.

The small print

Course costs vary by venue, deposits taken upon booking and material kits will be available to purchase at class. You are welcome to also bring your own materials to work with. Some venues cost more to cover room hire, insurance and tutor travel expenses. For venue details, see each class section. We bring a pop-up craft supplies shop to each class, and all students are welcome to join the Plannercraft Facebook group.

4th Mar: Redditch

Join us at RYCE @ The REDI Centre from 13:00-16:00, please arrive promptly.

RYCE @ The REDI Centre, 54 South Street, Redditch - the venue has free parking, a small cafe on site, and the room is accessible to all. There is free Wi-Fi at the venue and we can also offer a limited additional broadband option. You will need to change your Wi-Fi settings on your machine to access either option. Alternatively, we do offer file transfer by USB and memory stick (model dependent). The venue benefits from 2 power sockets per attendee so you are welcome to bring along your laptop or tablet for this class.

You can book online through the class post (scroll to the bottom of the post). The payment is a deposit for class entry, and project kits will be available to purchase on the day - you are also welcome to bring your own materials if you prefer.

Choose one from the following:

TABLE ARRANGEMENTS: Learn how to create handmade flowers, make arrangements and embellishments, and construct your final arrangement with matching place settings. Good for those looking to use their Scan 'n' Cut in a different way as well as with new materials.

FRAMES: Use watercolour techniques, drawing with your machine and paper piecing methods to create interchangeable designs for your frame. This is a good option for those wanting to learn drawing and scanning skills with the Scan 'n' Cut. Certainly one for those who don't mind getting messy with paints and powders.

MODEL MAKING: Learn to create a model village lit with battery tea lights. A perfect class for model makers as we take you through basic 3D techniques. Transfer your traditional model making skills onto your Scan 'n' Cut, or start from scratch. Learn about working with print & cut files as well as texture papers.

18th Mar: Worcester

Join us at Waitrose Community Room from 10:30-13:30 (class time, please arrive 15 minutes before to setup your machine).

Waitrose, London Road, Worcester - the venue has free parking (sign in at the front desk), refreshments available, and the room is accessible to all. There is free Wi-Fi at the venue however service can be patchy. We do offer a limited additional broadband option. You will need to change your Wi-Fi settings on your machine to access either option. Alternatively, we do offer file transfer by USB and memory stick.
